I am a student at the University of Missouri studying journalism and Spanish. I study journalism because journalism is crucial for the functioning of democracy. I hope to create conversation, drive democracy and contribute to my community in a meaningful way.

I believe that telling the truth, giving platform to a variety of voices and giving back to my community are the most important initiatives of journalism. Journalism is not dying – it is adapting.

My mission is to tell the truth according to my perspective.
